Vehicle Repairs & Diagnostics in Inverclyde

Warning light on the dash, a strange noise or something that just does not feel right? We diagnose the fault properly first, then fix it — so you are not paying for guesswork.

What we repair

Mechanical Repairs Done Properly

We work on cars, vans and light commercial vehicles, using quality parts and giving you an honest assessment of what needs doing now versus what can be monitored.

  • Brakes — pads, discs, calipers, handbrake and brake fluid
  • Clutches, gearbox issues and drivetrain faults
  • Suspension, steering, shock absorbers and wheel bearings
  • Cooling systems, water pumps, radiators and overheating
  • Batteries, alternators, starters and electrical faults
  • Exhausts, emissions issues and sensor faults
  • Engine repairs, belts, timing components and oil leaks
  • Air conditioning issues and general fault finding

Vehicle diagnostics

Modern vehicles store fault codes for almost everything. We plug in and read those codes, but we do not stop there — a code tells you where to look, not always what is wrong. We combine the data with proper mechanical checks so the real cause is found first time.

Engine management light, ABS or airbag warnings, EGR and DPF issues, misfires, limp mode, glow plug lights on diesels — bring it to us and we will tell you what we find and what it will take to put right.

Warning lights you should not ignore

Red oil pressure light

Stop as soon as it is safe. Driving on can destroy the engine — call us for recovery instead.

Temperature warning

Overheating can crack a cylinder head. Pull over, let it cool and get it checked.

Brake warning light

Could be low fluid, worn pads or a handbrake sensor. Always worth checking immediately.

Engine management light

Amber usually means driveable but get it read soon; flashing means stop and call us.
